The Other Elements By designing your Wedding Ring with the Engagement Ring firmly in mind, you will find that you have reduced your options, however you are still left with a few decisions to make and factors to consider.
As with the male Wedding Ring, you should now focus on your lifestyle and personality and try to choose a ring that is no less practical than the Engagement Ring, no more stylish than it either, but still one that is able to reflect your personality.
Complimentary metals, colours and styles are always a wise choice but an important point to remember is the density of the metals used. Gold is the by far softest of the main three metals (gold, platinum and titanium) and an Engagement Ring made of yellow gold for example, will erode over time if continually rubbing against a Wedding Ring made from one of the other two metals. For information, platinum is the next hardest of the three metals, but it unlikely to be effected in the same way that gold will be.
Whatever you choose, make sure that you stamp your style on the Wedding Ring, but never lose sight of the fact that the Engagement Ring is the star of the show.
