For those of you who are looking to hide your upper arms, the obvious option is to incorporate sleeves into the design. However, if you're after a different look, why not consider teaming your dress with a bolero, shrug or wrap - these will do the same job as sleeves but can look a little more contemporary. A final option for concealing those 'bingo wings' is to plump for a slightly longer veil that sits around the shoulders as opposed to just behind them and down your back.

For all those plus size Brides out there, shop around, try different combinations and keep things in perspective. Everyone has a dream dress that they fall in love with and look fantastic in, and whilst you may not have as many choices as those single-sized friends of yours, you will be surprised at how many outfits you look simply stunning in - it just needs to be found!

Little Women

Now we can't all be supermodel height, and to be honest the world would be a drab place if we were. For every lass who looks like she's on stilts, there is another who regularly browses through the petite section at her local department store.

When it comes to Wedding dresses, every Bride, regardless of her size and shape can look stunning - the secret is to knowing what to look out for when you're shopping for this dress of your dreams.

As a general rule of thumb, for those 5 3 and under, it is wise to avoid a dress with a ball-gown profile as such a frock tends to swamp the shorter lady. That said, if your dream is to get married in the biggest meringue ever, then go for it - but don't say we didn't warn you!
