When it comes to the colour and comfort of the hosiery it is very much down to personal preference. White and flesh colour garments are the most popular choices, but other colours are available and can complement particular gowns superbly - that said, it should be remembered that the hosiery is simply an acessory rather than a centerpiece so don't go overboard on design. With regards comfort, the secret is to ensure that you don't wear something that you've never worn before. If you're plumping for something unusual, make sure that you try it on and wear it for a full day before hand - all may seem well can good when you test it for five minutes in the shop, but having stood, sat and danced in it is it still just as comfortable? Whatever hoisery you choose, don’t forget your blue garter if it is part of your old, new, borrowed, blue collection.
Our final piece of advice when it comes to hosiery is to take spares. The dreaded 'ladder' can occur at anytime, so make sure that your Chief Bridesmaid has a replacement pair (or two) in her emergency kit just incase the worst should happen.
