In order to get the product and service you want, you need to ask the right questions, but knowing what to ask is sometimes difficult. To help you out, this article highlights the key questions that should be put to any potential videographer to help you separate the true pro from the budding amateurs.

It may appear an exhaustive list at first, but they are all questions that videographers will have faced before and should be willing to answer without flinching! Remember, if you are made to feel uncomfortable asking them when they are trying to win your business, just imagine how you will feel on the Big Day if you want something doing differently.

Questions are an excellent way to not only find out what you need to know before shedding out best part of a grand, but also determine the personality and demeanour of the person who will be following your every move on the biggest day of your life – so what are you waiting for, get asking!

Are you available on our Wedding day?

The first and most important question of course. That said, you will be surprised how many couples waste their time asking many other questions before asking this one!

Are you the actual videographer we will get on the day?

It is important you ask this early on. In most circumstances the person you speak to will be the one at your Wedding doing the filming, but if not, you must try to speak with the person who will be. Personality is important and you should feel comfortable with the man or woman behind the lens.
