Is it really wise to travel by open topped horse drawn carriage in the middle of winter – probably not, but definitely not if there is no option to put a roof up! In all cases, it pays you to make sure that you have a back-up plan just in case Mother Nature has a trick or two up her sleeve!
Wedding Theme & Vehicle Coordination
If you have a strict traditional theme to the day, then arriving in vibrant pink Cadillac may look a little odd, so spend some time to think about the style of transport that will look subtle and effective on the day, but won’t stand out or overpower things. That said, transport is one area where you can get away with being a little different.
I am sure you have all seen photos or heard stories about a whole host of weddings where a traditional theme echoed across the whole of the day, but where transport was concerned things were a varied from the theme somewhat. Tales of the Bride and her Father arriving in a vehicle celebrating and reflecting upon the family business are legendary (Tractors for farmers, Fire Engines for Firemen and Firewomen etc. although this may not be wise if you are a family of undertakers!) - why not be a little different yourself?
Transport is also one area where things need not co-ordinate perfectly. Three identical vehicles need not be booked and the style and mode of each can vary enormously and you can still get away with it – but think carefully before plumping for something a little different or uncoordinated, you can get away with it normally, but not all of the time.
