As with the transport to the Service, you will need to ensure that transport to the Reception for the Bride and Groom, Father and Mother of the Bride, Best Man and Bridesmaids is arranged.

Obviously, if the Reception venue is the same as the Service one then you won’t need to arrange anything – in fact, why are you wasting time reading this when you have other stuff to organise!

In virtually all situations, the same vehicle(s) that were used to transport the aforementioned to the Service will be used to transport them to the Reception. However in certain cases, the Bride and Groom may look to make a big impact by travelling in style or in something weird and wacky whilst the Brides parents and the Bridesmaids and Best Man may travel in their own vehicles or with other guests.

Typically, the make-up of the journeys will be as follows:

  • The Bride and Groom leave together (they are now married after all!), and arrive at the Reception venue first – albeit certain guests may already be there.
  • The Bridesmaids and Best Man leave together and arrive at the Reception venue shortly after the Bride and Groom.
  • The Father and Mother of the Bride leave together and arrive at the Service venue last – albeit certain guests may follow soon after.

As mentioned in the To the Service article, vehicles may be shared, but the length of journey to the Reception venue and seating capacity of the vehicles must be considered before opting for this.

The mode of transport is once again entirely your decision, but we suggest that you have a read of the Factors to Consider article and take a look at the different transport options we illustrate elsewhere in this transport section before making your mind up.
