Traditionally, the Bride’s gown is always white or ivory (or a slight variant from them) and as such, these colours will always form the basis of the colour scheme and a starting block from where to begin.

For some, white may seem a slightly clinical option whilst others prefer it’s fresh, crisp and clean look. Whereas white is a much starker colour, ivory has a softer glow to it and you may prefer its warmer and gentler look.

Opting for either white or ivory will not inhibit the colour scheme at all and give you a free reign over supporting colours. However if you opt for a slight variant from white or ivory please beware that the colour you choose may have a slight tint to it – be it lemon, rose, peach or similar, and as such may limit the colours that can be incorporated into your colour scheme.

Flowers are one of the easiest and most dramatic ways to showcase your colour scheme and there are a wide range of white and ivory flowers that you may wish to choose should you wish. A number of the most popular ones available in white (or a shade of) are listed below:

·         Anemone

·         Carnations

·         Dahlias

·         Freesia

·         Gerbera

·         Gladiola

·         Heather

·         Hydrangea

·         Iris

·         Larkspur

·         Lily of the Valley

·         Peonies

·         Phlox

·         Snapdragons

·         Star of Bethlehem

·         Sweet Peas

·         Tulips

Any ivory, white or variant colour you choose can be incorporated in all elements of your day, work with all themes, and can sit perfectly alongside ant metallic colour you choose.
