So let’s look at some stationery ideas – some traditional, some a little different. Hopefully you may read about at least one idea that finds its way onto your stationery ‘must have’ list.

Traditional Card Based Stationery

By far the most common choice for couples across the UK, traditional card based items top the list when it comes to Wedding stationery. Be they pre-printed shop bought cards or bespoke hand made items, around 70% of all Wedding stationery will be of the paper based card variety.

However, whether they be invites or place cards, the designs available to the consumer has grown considerably over the last few years. Photographs of the actual Service venue or the happy couple can be printed onto the stationery or even imprinted on in gold foil. Alternatively, if you want to be a little more traditional, the arts and crafts world now supplies a plethora of exciting materials and knick-knacks all of which can be incorporated into the stationery. A quick scoot around any Wedding fair will quickly let you to see the vast range on offer and highlight the fact that you are only limited by your imagination.

If you are to plump for the traditional form of stationery, then your best bet is to come up with a design you really like and then track someone down who can provide it. You can put money on the fact that someone out there has the capability to provide whatever you’re after, and at a price that you are willing to pay.

Message In a Bottle

For something a little different, why not opt for a 'message in a bottle'. Ideal for any nautical or beach themed Wedding, but equally at home in a more contemporary based event, a message in a bottle is a fun and unique form of Wedding stationery that is perfect for Wedding and Evening invites. Whilst they are more pricey than their traditional card based counterparts, they are definitely one thing that your guests will not forget in a hurry, and they are an ideal keepsake.
