If the average age of guests heading along on the Stag or Hen night is nearer 80 than 18, or if the pubbing and clubbing scene really is not you anymore, then why not head out for something a little more sophisticated.
There is a mammoth choice of restaurants and eateries across the country serving a vast array of cuisine from all across the world. From Pizza to Paella, Tacos to Tandoori – you name it, you can get it. Many restaurants will offer a civilised atmosphere in a refined setting where you can celebrate and enjoy first class food and a glass of wine to toast the impending marriage. Other restaurants may offer a more lively ambiance, such as a Greek Taverna complete with plate smashing and bouzoukis, to get you into that party spirit. A meal out can offer either a perfect opportunity to celebrate, or an ideal way to start the night depending upon your needs.
Either as a standalone activity or following a meal, why not head onto a Comedy or Cabaret Club or even the Theatre.
There are plenty of venues around the UK hosting top quality comedy acts to get you laughing, although be prepared to be picked on if there’s even the slightest sign that you're part of a Stag or Hen group
For a more rounded nights entertainment, Cabaret clubs can offer variety acts to get you singing and dancing along often in the form of tribute bands, whilst comedians also often feature on the bill. There will also probably be the good old ‘chicken in a basket’ on offer, and by that we refer to the food as opposed to the entertainment!
A trip to the Theatre can also provide great entertainment, and where better to go than the West End of London taking in Mary Poppins, Les Miserables or Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. Whilst it is a more sophisticated form of entertainment, you needn’t be tied to your local area, a trip to somewhere else in the UK may be just the ticket!
