Virtually every Stag and Hen night in the UK involves drinking at some stage – you cannot get away from it, and to be honest, you probably don’t want to!

A few simple drinks down your local is fine, but come on, the Stag or Hen will never get married again (please do not quote us on that in a few years) so why not push the boat out and expand the drinking horizons.

Location is key. Whether you are staying in your area or travelling further afield (see the Location, Location, Location article for some ideas), try to enhance the night in some way or another. A simple pub crawl can be embellished with tasks or challenges for the Bride/Groom or all guests, whilst outfits and even how you arrive and depart can give the night a really special feel – the Making it Personal article is a great read for more tips on how to do this.

If you really do want to push the boat out, why not do it for real by booking everyone on a Party Cruise. There’s nothing better than a leisurely cruise down the river with a drink in one hand and sick bag in the other (just joking) – they can provide a more civilised way of downing the drinks and are ideal for a more refined drinking experience.

A more lively and raucous option is to head off on a Party Bus. A phenomenon that has swept the country in recent years, the Party Bus will usually follow a set route stopping at pubs and clubs along the way ensuring that the fun never stops on your journey between them. Alcohol is not usually served although you may well be allowed to bring your own on board – the bus is kitted out with a pumping stereo system to get you singing and dancing your way around the country, and, if you have sufficient numbers you can even secure the bus for yourselves!
