Wherever you go, if you are unfamiliar with the area, contact the local Tourist Office to track down some information in advance or why not rope in a Party Planning Company to set your own unique days itinerary and pub crawl route – you may even get some drinks vouchers thrown in free of charge!
If you do plan to arrange things yourselves, hotels can be snapped up relatively cheaply these days, or if you are planning to stay for the whole weekend or perhaps a little longer why not try to track down a large cottage for rent. If you are undecided about where to go in the UK or if the activity you want to do is available at a number of different destinations, have a chat with the people going to see if they have any preferences or recommendations, or failing that, go to the cheapest!
If you fancy something a little more exotic, then why not head abroad. More and more Stag and Hens each year are doing so and every time the destinations become more and more adventurous. Dublin is by far the most common choice for those travelling overseas, hotly followed by Prague and Amsterdam, but how about Tallinn in Estonia or Las Vegas in the good old US of A?

The further overseas it is, the less people will therefore come along – something to bear in mind. You may be thinking that these foreign destinations will just mean a trip where drink, follows drink, follows drink, but that need not be the case. Many of the activities you can do in the UK can also be done abroad. Some of the most luxurious health spa’s and best golf courses can be found overseas as can casino’s, paintballing and watersports. So think outside the box, or should that be 'outside the pint'.
