Stag and Hen nights offer the Bride and Groom one final chance to let their hair down and have fun before they get tied down to years of misery and boredom – or at least that’s what all your single friends would have you believe!

In truth, what Stag and Hen do's provide is an opportunity to have fun with your friends and celebrate the forthcoming marriage you are about to enter into (which incidentally won’t be that miserable or boring, although I guess it depends who you are marrying!).

Thankfully, this Stag and Hen celebration are one part of the wedding that neither the Bride nor Groom have to organise. Instead, this duty falls upon the Chief Bridesmaid and Best Man to sort out. That said, it is wise if the happy couple have a think about what they would like to do and when they would like to do it and let the organisers know accordingly. You don’t want to be rock-climbing in the Peak District if all you wanted was to get plastered down the local after all!

There are so many options these days, so the Stag and Hen celebrations needn't just be treated as an opportunity to down as many drinks as possible in the shortest space of time (note the key word 'just'). Spa breaks, racing weekends, short haul trips abroad, golfing, white water rafting, karting and pamper days are all popular options these days, while for something a little cheaper, jazzing up a good old knees up with a fancy meal, limo hire or ‘special guest’ (often one who removes their clothes) are also popular alternatives.

Knowing what to do, when the Stag and Hen do's should take place, and who to invite along, are all things that the Bride or Groom can have a say in (and let their respective planners know). So to help you along the way, the articles in this part of the site provide you with everything you need to know to make the best decisions and also contain a whole load of info to help the planners themselves organise a Satag and Hen party to remember - so check out the links from the left hand menu to begin.
