· Get yourself a good ‘Wedding Jokes’ book. Now we’re not saying that they are all the same quality. In fact, you may want to put most of them up for sale on E-Bay with no reserve as soon as you’ve read a couple of the hilarious(?) one-liners. However, there really are some gems out there - ones that are more than worth the cover price. Make sure you check out more than one before committing to purchase.
· Borrow (or should we say 'steal'!) gags from movies, TV, magazines or newspapers or scour the internet for some killer rib-ticklers.
· Relate the subject of your speech (be it the Bride, Groom or both) to current affairs or celebrity gossip.
· Do a bit of research and find out what traits, according to astrology, the speech’s subject (Bride/Groom) should have, what their surname means or what ‘happened on this day in history’. Talk about similarities between the Bride/Groom and famous people they share their birthday with or a modern day celebrity couple they ‘are most like’. Just in case you had any doubts, this bit should be funny and not like a lecture!
