An extension of thanks to the Fathers, Mothers, Ushers, Page Boys, Flower Girls and Best Man for all their help (perhaps accompanied by gift giving). Omit the Bridesmaids from this thanks, singling them out with a toast at the end.

A thank-you to people/groups for specific things they have done to help (Auntie Betty for making the cake, the Vicar for a lovely service, the Reception Venue for their assistance and attention to detail etc.) Just remember you haven't won a BAFTA, so keep this bit as brief as possible!

A couple of short anecdotes about how you first met, how it went when the two sets of parents first got together etc. As long as they are brief, amusing or sincere, relevant and inoffensive you can pretty much say anything you like.
Hopefully the above information will help point you in the right direction, and if it does why not come back and tell us about it – any useful hints (or even material) you may have for other Grooms’ is always appreciated and shortly we will begin publishing the best stuff.
