The second point to make is that it is the 21st Century and we have come a long way since the early 1900’s. Women now have the vote, we have had a female Prime Minister who everyone knew and loved (?), and Bride’s at Weddings are now even joining in with the speeches! If your new wife wants to add to the growing number of ladies who contribute verbally during the speeches, then take advantage of this and why not make a joint speech – it can be quite fun and it always helps boost the confidence if you are working alongside a familiar face.
