Remember that there if you’re not hitched yourself, then there is a good chance that the roles may be reversed in due course, so don’t hack the Groom off too much! If however the Groom is just a walking embarrassment and you can’t help but recount his previous run-ins to the congregation, then why not try and redeem yourself with a hug at the end of your words or a framed version of the speech as a gift. OK they aren’t really blokey things to do, but if it means that in a few years you are still speaking then it’s worth dropping the manly act for just a few moments.

Hopefully the information in this article will help point you in the right direction, and if it does why not come back and tell us about it. Any useful hints (or even material) you may have for other Best Men is always appreciated and shortly we will begin publishing the best stuff. Simply click here to get in touch.

Oh, and by the way, we forgot to mention – enjoy your time in the spotlight and good luck!
