Finally, remember that you don't just have to plump for a traditional floral display. Instead, why not decorate table tops using only the heads of the flowers. Such items can be placed on the napkins of the guests to tie the look together, but also work exceptionally well scattered around the top table and cake table - perhaps even tied to the knife which the cake will be cut with.
Outdoors...
The great outdoors is naturally packed with flora and fauna galore, so it not always essential that you spend a small fortune on this part of the venue. That said, there will always be the odd nook, cranny or barron area that could benefit from some floral dressing.
Either side of doorways, window-ledges, garden tables and courtyards are prime candidates to decorate, and there's nothing more complementary to the surroundings than nature's finest. Small pots of heather, fresh herbs, potted Bay trees and scattered flower heads are just some suitable options, but in all cases it is best to worth with what exists already.
