There are two types of Fork Buffet, both of which are quite suitable for your Wedding Breakfast. The first is a Gourmet version of a Finger Buffet serving sliced meats, this is typically referred to as a 'Cold' Buffet. The second is a Hot Buffet, where the main course is served from hot plates. It could be a carvery, or a selection of hot dishes like those detailed in the example menu below. The biggest benefit of either of these over a traditional sit down meal is that it allows your guests some degree of choice. For both of these, typically a single starter and dessert option are served by waiters in the normal way but guests then get a choice of foods for their main course and will be served (or serve themselves) from a table containing platters of food or hotplates. A hot buffet is less practical for serving on an evening as there will simply be too much going on to organise guests enough to provide this kind of Buffet.
