OK, plan in place, budget at the ready so it’s go, go, go! Fair enough, but where do we start exactly?

Well there are three things that we suggest sorting out before you do anything else, the second two of which are optional - the first one (we think you'll agree) is slightly less optional!

    1. Set the Date of the Wedding

Setting the date goes without saying, and by now you probably already have a very good idea as to what year and what season, (if not a specific date and time!) that you want to get married. Setting the date isn’t as simple as picking your favourite day of the year however, oh no, this is wedding planning after all. There are a number of things you should consider before jumping in and picking the first date that comes to mind – the Setting the Date article will explain all!

You may also at this stage be looking to hire in some help. Having read the various articles in this section of the Info & Ideas Zone you may already be sweating buckets and worrying about how you will get through it all. Help is available however in the form of skilled Wedding Co-ordinators, and if you are looking to hire one, now is the best time to do so. The article entitled Wedding Coordinators will help you to determine whether you need to take on board additional assistance and the advantages and costs of doing so.

Finally, as soon as the date is picked and the decision on hired help is taken, we highly recommend that you arrang Wedding Insurance. Many couples still choose not to, but when we are talking a potential once in a lifetime experience with an average cost of a years salary, not talking out insurance is a total no-brainer. The Wedding Insurance article goes into greater detail as to why you really should book insurance, what to look out for, what it covers and typical quotes.

So if we are all sitting comfortably, let us begin.
