Below we feature the Weddingsday Countdown timeline which covers each and every activity leading up to your big day to ensure you don’t miss a single thing. In the near future, a useful printable version and interactive 'Countdown Card' will be available in the MyWeddingsday section of the site - both will be totally free for registered users (it's free to register as well by the way!). Organise and hold engagement party. Optional
Formally announce your engagement in local newspapers. Optional
Set the date of your wedding.
Hire a Wedding Coordinator. Optional
Arrange wedding insurance. Optional, but highly recommended
Select the overall theme of your wedding.
Set a budget and allocate responsibilities for organising elements of your wedding.
Choose your attendants - Best Man, Bridesmaids, Ushers, Page Boys & Flower Girls.
Begin drawing up your guest list - ceremony, day and evening.
Decide on the type of ceremony you would like.
If a religious service is the favoured option, approach the ceremony venue for booking timescale.
Set the criteria for your Reception venue and begin to shortlist.
Start the search for your wedding dress.
Start the search for your Reception Venue and make a provisional reservation (if possible, if not make a firm booking).
