Take a look around any Wedding Fair and you'll instantly notice that the quality and presentation of Photograph Albums will vary greatly. From small leather bound albums to huge A3 wood-effect ones, there really is a lot of choice out there.
So what exactly should you be looking for when thinking about an album?
The first thing to say is that it really is down to personal preference. Some of you may prefer smaller, less imposing albums in black leather with the images laid up traditionally inside, whilst others may want to go all out for that shocking pink coloured huge album with more of a ‘Hello’ magazine style content.
Wedding Photographers will tend to offer only a limited choice when it comes to the actual album itself and our advice would be that whilst the album is important, it is what’s inside it that’s more important, so avoid selecting a photographer purely on the quality or visual appeal of their album. Likewise, don’t steer completely clear of a picture taker just because you don’t like the choice of album they offer.
The majority of photographers will include the price of an album in the total cost they quote to you, but be sure to read the small-print to confirm this. If it is not included, you obviously need to allow for this in your budget, but even if it is, that does not mean that you must use it.
