Full-Length
Either touching the floor or almost there with just the toe of your shoe showing. This is one of the most popular length of dress for Bridesmaids at a traditional wedding. It works well with full and pencil skirts and everything in between. It can be used to complement the Wedding Dress whilst still being of different style.

Tea Length
This is half way between your knee and mid-calf length. Again dresses can often be altered to this length, however it is currently very trendy for bridesmaids so you might quite a few choices out there that don't even need alteration. |
Trains

Puddle or sweep train
This is a very short train. It falls very close to where the skirt touches the floor. It’s also the smallest train and is great for not having to worry about doing anything with on the evening, these trains rarely get in the way even when serious dancing is happening. It is the most popular choice for bridesmaid dresses and is sometimes just used for the Chief Bridesmaid to help emphasise her ‘special’ status.

Now that you know about skirts, hemlines and trains, if you haven’t already done so, it would be a shame not to go on and read about ‘Bodices’, ‘Necklines’ and ‘Straps and Sleeves’ – go on, you know you want to!
