Just because we refer to it as Evening Wear, it doesn’t mean it is limited to functions taking place after the sun goes down! In fact, formal Evening Wear is popular at Weddings up and down the UK and its classy look makes it ideal for those Grooms who want to look dashing and sophisticated.
Aside from Evening Wear, there are three other categories of men’s formal Wedding attire; Morning Wear, Highland Wear and Military Wear and the two former categories have dedicated articles covering every option available (we have assumed that those of you in the Armed Forces will already know what you can wear and there’s no way we are going to tell you if we think you’re wrong!). In 2007 we will also be publishing an article entitled ‘Something Different’ that will look at everything from the casual outfit for beach weddings through to weird and wacky Elvis costumes primed for Las Vegas weddings, but for now you will have to make do with your imagination!
Within Evening Wear, there are two main types of outfit available and we will look at each one in turn a little later. However, for those of you eager to know what’s coming up, here are the two styles we will be taking a closer look at:
· Tail Suits
· Dinner Suits
Trousers, waistcoats and other extras needed to complete the look are covered in the article entitled ‘Essential Extras’ and for those of you wanting to know more about cufflinks, pocket watches and other items that will complement the look, check out the article entitled ‘Finishing Touches’.
So now you know what is covered in this article and where to go for all supporting info, let’s get stuck into the first of the two choices from the category ‘Evening Wear’.
