Wild West Night
If you're after something lively, fun and a little bit different, then a Wild West themed 'Evening Do' could be right up your sidewalk, partner!
Firstly, ask all your guests to get into the mood by dressing up - cowboy outfits for the guys and Indian squaw outfits for the gals, and as they arrive by car (or on horseback!) serve them all sasparilla, root beer or coke floats.
Enlist the help of a line dancing band and pipe out good old Country & Western music throughout the night, accompanied by a suitable dose of do-si-di'ing! To make the evening even more authentic, you could think about contacting one of the numerous American party firms based here in the UK and arrange to hire a whole host of entertainment. Rodeo bulls, quick-draw machines, lasso's, themed backdrops and more can all be hired and will help your Wild West night go with a real 'yee-hah'!
Ibiza Party Night
If the vast majority of your guests are just a bunch of spring chicken's, then for something completely wild, why not opt for an Ibiza themed party night?
OK, we accept that this isn't the most sensible suggestion if you've a lot of guests with free bus passes, and we wouldn't suggest that the Wedding Party remain in their dresses and suits for the evening entertainment, but an opportunity to let your hair down and have a real big party after all the stresses and strains of the day and the planning of it could be just what the doctor ordered.
The key to an Ibiza themed evening is music, so make sure you enlist the services of a top notch DJ with loads of kicking tunes and a super powerful sound system. Ask your guests to wear suitable attire and even consider the possibility of hiring a foam and bubble machine to blast your guests throughout the night (make sure you check with your venue first!). Serve a concoction of vodka red-bull's on arrival and why not issue each guest with a glow stick. Make sure you also have a chill out room set up (with loads of bottles of water!) playing more calming music - ideal for those in need of a rest, or for those older friends and relatives who want somewhere to sit and chat.
When it comes to themeing your 'Evening Do', there are as many options as there are ideas, so like we said right at the outset of the article, you are only limited by your imagination. Hopefully our three suggestions will have given you an idea of what's possible and how music, entertainment, outfits, food and drink can all be used to 'set the scene'. Anything and everything is possible, so if you're looking to integrate a theme into the 'Evening Do' to create a dream day for you and your partner, then the world's your oyster.
