Think of any great party you've ever been to, and two of the most important elements of that party will undoubtedly be the music and the entertainment.

Music goes a long way to setting the scene for a celebration. Just close your eyes and picture your guests merrily mingling away to the dulcet tones of a string quartet harmoniously playing Bach's 'Air on the G String' - quite a sophisticated and romantic scene don't you think? Now, picture the same guests mingling away whilst a DJ pumps out some of the latest hard house classics - a bit of a different scene, heh!

So, if you haven't already, now's the time to put some serious thought into the wedding music that will feature during your big day.

If you haven't already, why not take a few moments to check out the wedding music articles in 'The Service' section for inspiration on processional, recessional and register signing tunes, then take a browse through the various articles in this part of the site for ideas and advice on the perfect wedding music to accompany the wedding breakfast, the 'evening do', and you and your partner as you take to the dancefloor for your first dance as a married couple.

Of course the wedding music can only do so much. To add a real injection of fun and laughter into the proceedings, you should give some serious thought to the wedding entertainment that will take place during the day.

From inflatables and garden games, to impersonators and table magicians, there really is a whole load of choice out there. With so many options available, the key to providing successful wedding entertainment is to asses the guest list and try and determine what will appeal the most. Whilst the thought of a bunch of OAP's queuing up for a go on the rodeo bull may well bring a smile to your face, I think you'll agree that it's perhaps not the best option. With this in mind, have a look through our various articles for ideas a-plenty, with something to suit everyone's taste - even grandma's!

Of course for those of you more refined, you could opt for a day without both wedding music and entertainment - but how many guests will stay beyond the hour mark is anybody's guess, so good luck! For the rest of you, check out the links from the left hand menu and get reading!
