How to get to the destination(s) and knowing how long to stay for are two crucial aspects in the whole Honeymoon planning process. The following article looks at both in great depth.
Travel Options
How to travel to your destination will largely be dictated by where it is, and for trips farther afield, the only real option is for you to travel by air. However, if you are Honeymooning in the UK, Ireland or mainland Europe then there are other options open to you.
England, Scotland and Wales have some of the finest roads in the world, so getting to your final destination by car, taxi or coach (or combination of the last two) is relatively straightforward. Likewise, whilst our rail network isn’t perhaps as good as some of our European counterparts, it still is fairly reliable and there are stations dotted all across Great Britain - you can bet your bottom dollar on the fact that there will be one near to where you will be Honeymooning.
For those of you heading across the water, ferries and hovercrafts provide a viable alternative to aeroplanes. There are a number of ports dotted all around the country offering convenient timetables to multiple destinations. Combine this with another mode of transport (car, coach, taxi or train) and you will be able to arrive at your destination in next to no time.
Finally, for those of you heading into mainland Europe, the Channel Tunnel provides a wonderful opportunity to access the continent and offers smooth, reliable transportation that won’t cost the earth – the opportunity to take your car with you is a further added advantage over air flights.
