Honeymoon planning isn’t simply a case of putting a pin in a map and seeing where destiny takes you. Unless you're a little strange, you'll want to do plenty of research to determine the best possible options for both you and your partner.
Hopefully by now you will have set your honeymoon budget. If you haven't don't panic but do try to do this asap - check out the Budgeting articles in the Planning the Wedding section for some help and advice on this front. Once you know how much you have to play with, then (and only then) should you go on to honeymoon planning in earnest.
So what options are available to honeymooners and what things need to be considered? Well let's take a brief look at the various things that need to be focussed on - more in depth information is available on each throughout the remainder of The Honeymoon section, but for now this should give you a good idea of what lies ahead!
-
First of all, you need to know what is it that you want to get up to on honeymoon. For example, do you want to go exploring and trekking through the jungle, or are you wanting nothing more than seclusion and exclusivity?
-
Next, think about where it is (accomodation-wise) that you want to stay - is it in a buzzing hotel with things for any kids you may have, a cottage in the middle of nowhere, or something else?
