Draw up a Key Contact List

Always handy, sometimes essential (especially if you have organised the honeymoon package yourself), is a list of key contacts. Hotels, airports, taxi companies, airline, ferry or train companies details etc. are all key numbers that you may want to include. Additionally, look to tack on any key numbers for people at home too (doctors, parents mobile numbers, cattery/kennels etc.). It may be wise at this stage to also leave an itinerary for you honeymoon with parents/friends.

Focus on Home Security

It's all too easy to forget the practicalitiies with so much excitement in the air, but it's essential that you take a little time to make sure that your home is safe from thieves and prying eyes whilst your away by taking these simple steps:

Be Sure to Care for your Home

There's nothing worse than returning from a trip away to a pile of mouldy dishes and a lawn that's knee high - so, to ensure you don’t return back to an untidy mess or unnecessarily high bills:

Weddingsday Cut the lawns before you go.

Weddingsday Eat/give away any food that will be out of date by the time you return.

Weddingsday Turn on the answerphone (but don’t say that you’re on holiday!)

Weddingsday Have a quick clean and vacuum clean before you leave.

Weddingsday Set the timers on the heating and water.

Weddingsday Help save the environment - remember to turn TV's, PC Monitors etc. off stand-by.
