Introduction

From the traditional to the more obscure, there is a vast and varied range of honeymoon accommodation available out there. Costs can vary dramatically, as can availability during peak season, but with a little advance planning and a bit of money saving, the world really is your oyster.

So, without further ado, lets take a look at the various accommodation options available to modern day honeymooners...

Hotels

From cheap and cheerful 1-star (or even 0-star!) hotel rooms, right through to 5-star (or even 7 star!) hotel suites – there are hundreds of thousands from all around the world from which you can choose. The vast majority of hotel rooms these days come en-suite, but themed rooms are also readily available with anything from personal butlers and infinity pools to in-built aquariums and solid gold fixtures and fittings available if you search around.

Guest Houses

Offering a more homely feel, guest houses and Bed & Breakfast's provide great value for money and are very popular all accross Europe. Many, but not all, will be available en-suite, and other than tea and coffee facilities in the room and a TV, the rooms are typically fairly basic, but provide great value for money thus freeing up cash for more elaborate honeymoon activities.

Country Cottages

Allowing you to relax and get away from it all, a cottage offers you seclusion and no interruption from early-morning maids. If peace and tranquility is what you're after, a cottage should provide the perfect honeymoon accommodation for you.

Castles & Chateaus

For those with a little more cash to spare and for whom the honeymoon accommodation is more than, or just as important as the location, a castle or château offers true exuberance. With it's rich history, Europe again provides a good smattering of availability with rooms and gardens fit for any modern day king and queen.

Chalets, Cabins & Appartments

Ranging from basic cabins right through to a luxurious city centre suites with all mod-cons, there are so many variables we could be on all day telling you about them. Suffice to say that if you want some independence with a 'home away from home' feel then this could be the honeymoon accommodation option for you.

Specialist

If it's unique honeymoon accommodation you're after then this is the category for you. Cruise ships, farms, barns, ranches, caravans, canal boats, camper vans and winnebago's are just some of the options available to newlyweds. Costs can vary dramatically as can the comfort and luxury on hand, but it you're after honeymoon accommodation that not only provides a bed but also plenty to see and do, then look no further.
