An Antipodean Bride lost more than just the game, when she was beaten on the golf course by her new hubby.

Adrienne Foley had dreamt of the day when her husband would ditch his surname and take on board hers. However, hubby Greg Marshall was having none of it, so duly took up his wife's offer to decide matters around the greens in Levin, New Zealand.

Still adorned in frock and morning suit, Adrienne and Greg hit the course soon after tying the knot and began their battle.

Whilst Greg surged into an early lead, Adrienne's stunning hole in one at the par three ninth sent her new hubby's heart racing. However, after a turbulent round, Greg finally sank the winning putt on the 18th to seal a three shot victory, and retained the biggest prize of all - his surname.

As a keen golfer myself, surely the elusive hole-in-one is worth at least a double-barreled surname, isn't it Greg?

We await his response...
