On Saturday afternoon, in a sleepy village just outside Rome, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were married in front of 150 friends and family - many showbiz pals were present including the likes of Victoria Beckham, Nicole Kidman, J-Lo and Jim Carrey.
Holmes carried a calla lily bouquet down the aisle and wore an off-the-shoulder Armani gown featuring an ivory tulle veil and silk train, the latter adorned with lace and Swarowski crystals. A Church of Scientology Service preceeded exchange of white gold and diamond Cartier Wedding rings. Later, the couple were serenaded by opera star Andre Bochelli and Cruise is said to have re-enacted his famous Top Gun scene as he sang the Righteous Brothers classic 'You've Lost That Loving Feeling' to a smiling Holmes.
The Wedding, which took place at 7pm local time, was the culmination of a 19 month whirlwind romance which has already seen a daugher, 7 month old Suri, brough into the world. Suri attended the ceremony along with Tom's previous two children, Isabella and Connor.
The pair have now jetted off on Honeymoon to the Maldives and all of us here at Weddingsday wish them well.
