Two of the X Factor's biggest fans last night paused their Wedding festivities to cheer on the guys they wanted to book to perform at their Reception.

Paul Mooney and Lynne Scobie had always wanted to book Craig and Brian aka 'The MacDonald Brothers' to perform at their Big Day. The pair are regular performers at the Brunston Castle Golf Club in Girvan where the couple tied the knot. However, as the duo progressed through the competition it quickly became apparent that alternative arrangements would need to be made.

Still, loyal to the pair who were their first choice entertainers, Paul and Lynne asked the golf club to screen the ITV1 show onto the giant plasma screen TV so they and their guests could cheer them on.

The MacDonald Brothers didn't disappoint. Their rendition of the Proclaimers hit '500 Miles' was met with rapturous applause and even X Factor judge Simon Cowell admitted that he was pleasantly surprised.

So, the question remains, will the boys ever have to go back to Wedding singing or does their destiny lie with a certain 1 million pound contract? You can bet your bottom dollar that Paul and Lynne are cheering for the latter.
