Timetables
What – Specifics for the day. This isn't absolutely necessary, but it is courteous to let them know especially if there is a break built in, or they have small children.
When – When the invites are issued or on request.
How - Via inserts in the invite or via a wedding website.
Dress Codes
What – Is there a dress code?
When – ASAP, especially if the day is themed.
How – Via the invite itself, at a later date by phone - a wedding website could be used to convey the information, but you should couple it with other more direct means if the dress code is mandatory.
