Before you get fully stuck into this article, we strongly suggest that you take a read of the one entitled Shortlisting Candidates. Assuming that you've done so already then you'll now be in the position to begin making some cut-throat decisions!
So without further ado, let’s get started.
Making the final decision is never an easy task, and you will find that opinions change on virtually a daily basis as to 'who is in' and 'who is out'.
To help you along your way you may wish to use the free Guest Management planning tool located in the MyWeddingsday area of the site. This tool allows you the freedom to change your mind as much as you like, saves you needing to develop your own database or spreadsheet and keeps everything neat, tidy and legible. For those of you less technically minded, we would strongly recommend investing a few pounds in a whiteboard – you will be surprised how many times your views change and how confusing simply using a pen and paper can become!
So how exactly do you go about making the final decision?
Task 1
Well, your first task should be to make a list of every person both you and your partner would like to invite to the wedding. At this stage you don't need to distinguish between day and evening guests, just make sure you throw every potential candidate into the mix. You should even include guests who the pair of you disagree on – the idea is to draw up a full list making sure no-one has been forgotten and later on we can begin whittling the numbers down.
