  • Ask your florist if they provide any other services - many provide things such as candles and balloons and doubling-up could help you save a few pennies.
     
  • Check with the venue(s) if they have any special events on at the time that will result in the venue already being decorated (for example Churches often hold events such as harvest festivals) - a small contribution could even help steer the colour scheme of the decor to be used! 
     
  • Ask one guest per table to bring along their own table centrepiece - it doens't all need to match and helps to add a wonderful personal touch.
     
  • Don't be afraid to shop around and play the florists off against one another - such a tactic could save you a small fortune.
     
  • For maximum savings cut down on the number of flowers you need by hosting most of the day's proceedings outdoors - nature can provide a wonderful (and free!) backdrop to your big day.
