When it comes to choosing the flowers for the wedding, most couples simply don't have a clue where to start.
Of course for every ten couples who can't tell the difference between a carnation and a camelia, there will be one other who'll even be able to give you the latin names for both (Dianthus caryophyllus and Camellia Japonica in case you were wondering!). But this part of the site isn't for those greenfingered know-it-all's, it's for the vast majority of couples out there who are looking for some simple, honest floral suggestions.
So where do you start?
Well typically there are four main ways to select the flowers which will feature at the wedding, and we've handily prepared an A-Z article for each one. The four main selection methods are:
- Choosing your flowers by colour
- Choosing your flowers by season
- Chooisng your flowers by meaning
- Choosing from popular flowers
As a general rule of thumb, seasonal blooms are the cheapest, flowers chosen by meaning are the most romantic, flowers chosen by colour are the most co-ordinated, and flowers chosen by popularity are solely for those who want to keep up with the Jones's (only joking - they're rightfully popular for a reason!).
So without further ado, have a think about how you'd like to choose your wedding flowers and take a read of the appropriate article on our siet - or better still take a glance at all four just to make sure you've got all the bases covered!
