The South: For the big kids among you, the South has two of the best themed parks in the UK, from the fun-filled rides at Chessington World of Adventures through to the more serene entertainment at Legoland Windsor. The beautiful Isle of Wight and the stunning South coast are ideal for those of you seeking a more relaxing break or if you are heading there at the right time of year you may even be able to take in the world famous Farnborough Air Show.
South West and the West Country: Some of the best beaches in the UK can be found in the South West, in particular Newquay and Torquay are a haven for sun-worshippers and water sports fans alike. A little further north, historic Bath and the beautiful Cheddar Gorge offer culture lovers and fans of beautiful scenery to feel right at home.
Heart of England: The UK’s largest theme park, Alton Towers, can be found in Central England just a stones throw from one of the country’s most historic towns – Stratford Upon Avon. So whether it’s thrills and spills or Shakespeare and sonnets, the Heart of England can offer it all. England’s second city, Birmingham, can also be found here, and the recent multi-million pound facelift has left one of the UK’s most cultural places feeling refreshed and invigorated – miss it, and miss out.
The East: The East of England plays host to some of the country’s finest scenery and the Norfolk Broads provides a welcome get-away from all the stresses and strains of the Wedding. From Great Yarmouth and Skegness with their seaside fun, through to Cambridge with it’s opportunity to punt along the River Cam, this part of the country truly does cater for all tastes.
