Best Time to go: A year round destination with little seasonal variation in temperatures. January to April are the county’s warmest months though any of the twelve months are ideal for those planning a Mauritius honeymoon or wedding.

Best Beaches: Fine beaches are to be found all around the island. To the East, Belle Mare offers toursists a wonderful 10km stretch and a little further South, Blue Bay’s white sandy beach offers one of the country’s best bathing spots. Grand Baie on the northern coastline offers excellent beaches and a wide selection of watersports, whilst to the South-West, the beach at Le Morne is a beauty.

For Activity Lovers: There are a number of superb diving sites around the island including those at Rodrigues Island and Flic-en-Flac. For those golfers among you, Mauritius boasts several 18 hole courses (such as the ones at Belle Mare Plage and Le Morne) and a number of 9 hole ones (La Pirogue and Sugar Beach to mention just two) all of which will prove a true test your ability. Trekking, hiking and mountain biking are also available on the island with Riviere Noire National Park and Réserve Forrestière Macchabée providing the best opportunities. If you are a keen angler, Mauritius can offer you several deep sea fishing opportunities.
