Everyone at your big day will have wedding roles of some description or another. From the catering staff at the reception venue through to the relatives who drink too much and become a talking point for the other guests - there's something that everyone will be remembered for.
Whilst some wedding roles are more minor or less desirable than others, there are others which are crucial to both the big day itself, and the wedding as a whole - meet the bridal party!
All members of the bridal party (sometimes referred to as 'the wedding party'), from the page boys right through to the chief bridesmaid, will need to know where they'll need to be and what they'll need to do at all times - both before, during and after the wedding. The articles in this part of the site take a closer look at the wedding roles, responsibilities and duties of all the key bridal party players, as well as providing handy hints and tips for the Bride and Groom on how to choose the most appropriate people to fill these ultra important roles.
Of course, not all of the bridal party roles need to be taken up, and couples are not legally required to have any at all - in fact, only two witnesses over the age of sixteen are needed and neither the Bride or Groom has to even know them! But assuming that there will be at least some of the above involved in the big day, then it is well worthwhile taking a look at just exactly what each is expected to help out with in case you need to shuffle the duties around.
So, whether you're the Bride, Groom, Best Man, Father of the Bride, Chief Bridesmaid or other bridal party member, congratulations - and get reading!
